Margot Robbie pairs visible lingerie with jeans at the Chanel show in Los Angeles

Margot Robbie isn't just making a name for herself on the big screen anymore. The Oscar-nominated actress, who will soon star in Greta Gerwig's highly anticipating movie Barbie, is also making a name for herself in the fashion world, confirming her status as a bonafide style icon with a series of thoughtful Chanel silhouettes.

On May 1, she lit up the red carpet at the 2023 Met Gala in a vintage gown from the Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld Haute Couture Spring-Summer 1993 collection, based on a look worn by Cindy Crawford in 1993. The Australian actress made just as much of an impact in the front row of the Chanel Cruise 2024 show. An ambassador since 2018 (the last one chosen by Karl Lagerfeld), Margot Robbie was particularly expected among the guests invited to Los Angeles to discover the latest vibrant looks of Virginie Viard, artistic director. She appeared alongside Kristen Stewart, Marion Cotillard and Angèle, in a sexy look that embraced a bold trend: visible lingerie. Under a bolero which served as both jacket and jewelry, she wore a simple black bra. The centerpiece of her outfit was made up of gold chains and medallions featuring the French brand's icons. She paired it all with a pair of blue denim bell-bottoms. When it came to accessories, Margot Robbie kept it simple, adding a few gold details, a Coco Handle handbag and sandals.

At the 2023 Met Gala, the actress and Chanel ambassador opted for a vintage design by the French house, a model which had previously been worn by the supermodel Cindy Crawford in 1993.
